Legal aid
In order for NOAS to be able to provide you with legal aid, you must give us power of attorney. This means that you give us permission to contact the authorities and act on your behalf.
We can only accept physically signed authorizations.

Asylum cases:
We look at the cases of asylum seekers who have been rejected by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) or the Immigration Appeals Board (UNE). We review all the cases we receive.
Family immigration:
NOAS provides guidance and legal aid in cases where the reference person is a resettlement refugee or has applied for asylum in Norway and has been granted a residence permit in Norway on the basis of an application for asylum, or where the applicant is an asylum seeker in Norway or is in a refugee-like situation in another country.
Permanent residence permit:
We look at the cases of asylum seekers who have been rejected by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) or the Immigration Appeals Board (UNE). We review all the cases we receive.
Citizenship:
NOAS provides guidance and legal aid to people who are resettlement refugees or have applied for asylum in Norway and have been granted a residence permit in Norway on the basis of their application for asylum.
Rejection after application for assisted return:
NOAS provides guidance and legal aid after rejection of an application for assisted return
