Information to asylum seekers from Ethiopia

The UDI has decided that Ethiopian asylum seekers with a final negative decision may now be granted temporary work permits.

The UDI has decided that Ethiopian asylum seekers with a final negative decision may now be granted temporary work permits.
You will need to file an application through the police on specific forms. There is a fee (800,- kr). The work permits will be valid for a period of up to 6 months.

If there is doubt about your identity, a temporary work permit will not be given. This means that if you were denied a temporary work permit earlier (before you received the negative decisions) you will probably not get a temporary work permit now.

The UDI will post further information about this on their web page, www.udi.no, during the next few days.
